This Privacy Policy describes how Mariano Goni Magic ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the NOW! Ultra iOS application ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the App operates.
1. Information We Collect
NOW! Ultra is designed with privacy as a core principle. The App collects minimal information:
Email address: Collected at purchase and used solely to deliver your invite code and access credentials. Stored securely on our server.
Invite code usage: We record whether an invite code has been used to prevent unauthorized access. No personal data is linked beyond the email provided at purchase.
Performance results (optional): If you configure the App to send results to an external API endpoint, those results are transmitted to the endpoint you specify. We do not store or log these results on our servers.
2. Camera Usage
NOW! Ultra uses your iPhone's camera to perform optical character recognition (OCR) on numbers, text, and playing cards presented by spectators during magic performances. This is the core function of the App.
Camera access is used exclusively for real-time OCR within the App.
No images or video frames are stored, transmitted, or uploaded anywhere.
When Video Recording mode is active, video is saved directly to your device's Photos library. It is not transmitted to us or any third party.
The App does not use the camera for any purpose other than the functions described above.
3. Bluetooth Usage
NOW! Ultra connects to professional Bluetooth accessories (MG-Device, MGButton, PeekSmith, Iarvel Card, thermal printers) to deliver performance results to the performer's devices.
Bluetooth communication occurs exclusively between the App and your own paired accessories.
No Bluetooth data is transmitted to us or any third party.
Device connection states are stored locally on your device only.
4. Local Storage
The App stores the following data locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults and app storage:
App settings and preferences (selected language, scan mode, integrations)
Unlock status (whether a valid invite code has been entered)
Your configured API endpoint email address
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly configure an external API integration.
5. Third-Party Integrations
NOW! Ultra optionally integrates with the following third-party services, all of which require explicit activation by the user:
Hydra Pro: Results are sent via a native URL scheme directly between apps on your device. No internet connection is used.
Custom API endpoint (cy12.co): If configured, performance results are transmitted to this endpoint over a secure connection. This service is operated by Mariano Goni Magic.
Apple Watch: Results are delivered as local notifications mirrored to your paired Apple Watch. No data leaves your device.
PayPal: Purchases are processed securely by PayPal. We do not store payment information.
6. Data We Do Not Collect
NOW! Ultra does not collect, store, or transmit:
Camera images or video (except video saved locally to your Photos when you use Video Recording mode)
Location data
Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Usage analytics or crash reports to third-party services
Any data from spectators
7. Data Security
Access to the App is protected by an invite code system. Server-side data (email addresses and invite code records) is stored securely on our hosted infrastructure. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.
8. Children's Privacy
NOW! Ultra is a professional tool intended for adult magicians and mentalists. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
